Design the shop for websites
What we're looking for
We need a developer (or small team) to build us a webshop from scratch. Not a bloated enterprise thing — just a clean, fast, genuinely nice-to-use online store that real people enjoy shopping on.
About the shop
We sell home and lifestyle goods — think ceramics, textiles, candles, small furniture pieces. A curated, design-forward catalog. We currently have around 80 products and expect to grow to maybe 300 over the next year. Each product needs good photos, a short story, and clear pricing.
We want the shop to feel warm and human, not corporate. Closest reference points: the kind of indie storefronts you'd find on a quiet street — inviting, unhurried, and a little personal.
What you'll build
A storefront with category browsing, search, and product detail pages
A simple, frictionless checkout (guest checkout, no forced account creation)
Cart and saved-for-later
Payment via Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay)
Order confirmation emails
A lightweight admin panel where we can add and edit products, mark things as sold out, and see recent orders
Mobile-first responsive design — most of our customers shop on phones
